I think some of the points need to be reconsidered. Opportunities should be external chances or trends that the company can make use of to strengthen and advance. Points such as ‘Improve and promote the security arrangements of hotel’ are not opportunities. ‘Suicide bombings’ is not a weakness of Ritz Carlton. The above mentioned weak security arrangement is.

    Dear Adam,

Thank you for the SWOT analysis of Ritz Carlton. It is certainly a long list and I appreciate the effort very much. However, there are some gross errors which appeared in the analysis. For instance, high hotel rate of Ritz Carlton certainly is not a threat, it should be a weakness instead. Threats and opportunities should be trends of the external environment that would have positive/negative effects to the company. The company would then have to adapt and react to the threats, and also tap on the opportunities available for them.

I do hope you would take into consideration my comments and do try to edit and correct some of the errors I’ve pointed out!

Cheers and have a good day.
    Alyssa
